Kids are going to school and bringing home more than just homework—they also tend to bring home the cold and flu.

We sat down with Dr. Beth Rzepka-Alto from Mackinaw Trail Pediatrics, who has a few helpful tips on how your kids can stay illness and lice free.
“Getting them back into bed so that they are well rested and ready to go is probably the best thing that you can do”, said Alto.
Reminding kids to wash their hands, cover when they cough and not pick their nose are a couple ways to help them from catching or spreading illnesses.
For more advice from Alto on lice and vaccines, watch the video above or contact your healthcare provider.
